Community Health Nurse

Position Overview

This full‑time, permanent Community Health Nurse (CHN) position reports to the Supervisor, Health Programs and assists clients in the promotion, protection and restoration of health. The incumbent provides comprehensive community health services in conjunction with the health care team and works within the context of Primary Health Care to improve the capacity of clients to adapt to, respond to or control life’s challenges and changes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Recruitment bonuses: $5,000 on start date, $5,000 at 18 months of service, and $10,000 at 30 months of service.
• Annual Frontline Allowance: $9,000.
• Monthly Retention Bonus: $375, totaling $4,500 per year.
• Tier One allowance ($10 per hour) available in specified communities.
• Tier Two allowance ($15 per hour) available in specified communities.
