Become a key player at WoodGreen as a Community Development Worker, focusing on supportive housing in Toronto. This contract role offers a platform for developing impactful community programs for underserved populations.
You will be responsible for creating and facilitating engaging activities while working directly with individuals facing homelessness and mental health challenges. Utilizing your degree in social work or community development and 3+ years of experience, you will assess client needs and collaborate closely with community partners to enhance program offerings continuously. This role emphasizes participant empowerment and community wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and facilitate workshops and social activities
• Maintain accurate participant data and program records
• Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback
• Collaborate with external agencies for program success
• Conduct needs assessments to inform future programming
