Vacancy: CONSERVATION MANAGER
Area: Mbombela/Nelspruit, Mpumalanga

Requirements
- Master’s degree in applied ecology, environmental science, conservation biology or related field
- PhD will be an advantage
- 8+ years of experience in conservation management, in a similar position
- Experience in veld management, ecological restoration, research programmes and wildlife management in a ‘Big 5’ conservation
- Strong knowledge of South African ecosystems and biodiversity
- Solid grasp of the statutory requirements in terms of protected area management, formal assessments, the development of annual work plans and the submission of reports
- Experience in ecological research and data analysis
- Excellent communication in English, Afrikaans and Shangaan (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
