Consultant Anaesthetist (Lw) (Santiago)

Applications are welcome for the permanent post of Consultant Anaesthetist based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, complementing a department of 40 in a busy District General Hospital with a particular interest in pain management.

• Provide anaesthesia for a wide range of specialty surgery including robotics, general surgery, breast, ENT, maxillofacial, obstetrics, gynaecology (general and oncology), trauma and orthopaedics, ophthalmology and paediatrics.
• Perform day surgery at a stand‑alone unit in Dunfermline.
• Support the newly established National Treatment Centre for elective orthopaedic work.
• Provide pain management within the multidisciplinary Fife Pain Management Service, including patient assessment, formulation of management pathways for complex patients with persistent pain, and liaison with referrers and stakeholders.
