About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and community‑driven Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our busy Emergency Department. Rotorua sees 38,000 Emergency Department presentations annually, and is supported by a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists and RMOs. As a tier 2 Emergency Department with high trauma volume due to our rural geography and extreme outdoor activities, you will deliver a consistently excellent service to meet the needs of the Lakes community.
As a teaching hospital, you will have the opportunity to mentor, coach and supervise 4th and 6th year Auckland University medical students. We are officially certified by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and offer structured teaching with protected time over the course of 24 months to support your career progression.
