Job Description
Diagnoses and treats diseases of heart and its functions: Examines patient for symptoms indicative of heart disorders, using medical instruments and equipment. Studies diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses. Prescribes medications, and recommends dietary and activity program, as indicated. Refers patient to either an interventional cardiologist or to a Surgeon specializing in cardiac cases when need for corrective surgery is indicated
Responsibilities- Performs the professional duties of an internist in adherence to the Delineation of Privileges depending on the efficiency and skills of the particular individual.
- To conduct assessment & re-assessment for all patients in the OPD, on admission, and prior to any procedure.
- To perform his duties in the Cardiology outpatient clinic evaluating patients with cardiovascular disease.
