Consultant Ophthalmologist

The opportunity has arisen to recruit two ophthalmology consultants to NHS Lanarkshire: one with a specialist interest in glaucoma and one with a subspecialty interest in oculoplastics. The successful candidates will be part of the consultant team based at University Hospital Hairmyres, providing ophthalmic care to the whole of NHS Lanarkshire.

The post represents an exciting opportunity to influence the redesign and ongoing development of either the glaucoma or oculoplastics services, depending on their field of expertise.

For candidates with a subspecialty interest in glaucoma, they will work with a highly motivated and skilled non‑medical workforce and have strong links with community optometry in the development of the Community Glaucoma Service.
