Cook - CVH Food Services (Acute Care) (Richmond Hill)

Job Responsibilities

The Cook is responsible for food preparation for patients and special events, ensuring work areas are clean and sanitary and supporting daily food service operations to provide quality products. The Cook prepares food in accordance with Nutritional Services and Health Department standards, participates in data collection and monthly evaluations, and maintains proper handling of all inventories, including storage, rotation, covering, labeling, and dating.

Essential Qualifications

• Completion of High School Education or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of one-year formal culinary training or equivalent job experience required.
• Maintains current Food Safety Proton Certificate.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge/training of food production equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 6 hours).
