Job Description:
The Centre for Academic Staff Development is located within the Division for Teaching Excellence (DTE). It provides theoretically informed, research-based, high-quality guidance and support in teaching and learning for tutors, academic staff, and heads of department.
Current work encompasses the induction of academic staff, both newly appointed lecturers and Heads of Departments; student and peer evaluation of teaching; and the broad goal of promoting excellence in teaching and learning in the UJ through the development of knowledge-based curricula and innovative pedagogies, within a framework of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Responsibilities:
As a Coordinator in the Centre for Academic Staff Development (CASD), the incumbent will provide theoretically informed, research-based, high-quality development opportunities for senior tutors, tutors, academic staff, and academic heads of department. The broad goal of this ...
