Estimator / Cost Planner

Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator / Cost Planner to join their team. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience within the printing industry.

Duties include:

1. Maintaining accuracy of times, rates, and costing of estimating programme.
2. On receipt of quote request, plan a layout of how the job will be printed and finished to minimize the overall cost.
3. Gathering quotations for any outwork and/or handwork.
4. Liaising with factory manager on new and specific print requirements.
5. Using the estimating programme, prepare a costing and quote for the customer.
6. Managing the estimating programme: ensuring rates and paper prices on the system are up to date and that labour times are calculated accurately.
7. Receive and process orders.
