Summary About the position: This position is assigned to the Potomac Lanes Bowling Center on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, D.C. The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of simple cleaning tasks in an assigned area. The work involves using vacuum cleaners and dry mops, running lightweight powered scrubbers, standing, bending, stooping, reaching. Frequent lifting/emptying wastebasket. Pushing loaded carts. Occasionally lifting/carrying items weighing up to 20lbs. Responsibilities Cleans offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, facilities, and other areas. Sweeps, dry mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers. Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture. Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets. Polishes door knobs and other metal fixtures. Washes walls, windows, and blinds that can be reached without climbing ladders or scaffolds.
