About the Role
A well-established clearing and forwarding company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join their team. This role is focused exclusively on customs entries, with a clear growth path into a management position.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit customs entries for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with all SARS and customs regulations.
- Utilize Shipshape software to manage and track customs documentation efficiently.
- Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) to determine appropriate duties and taxes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and customs officials to ensure smooth and timely clearance of shipments.
- Resolve any customs-related queries or discrepancies in documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
