IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATE MUST BE SERVING PERMANENTLY IN THE SUPERVISOR BRICKLAYER TITLE, OR BE REACHABLE ON THE CIVIL SERVICE LIST, EXAM # 3592 or Exam # 6551

The Citywide Concrete Program inspects curb and sidewalk complaints from the public, identifying damaged or missing sidewalk & curbs that are pedestrian & vehicular hazards and can cause severe flooding. They supports the agency's goal to enhance, rehabilitate, and maintain the City's infrastructure by acting as the agency’s primary construction unit.

Under supervision of an Area Supervisor, the Supervisor Bricklayer will be required to supervise staff that prepare, mix, lay and finish cement to grade and contour, prepare and set forms; lay concrete floors, pavements, walks, foundations, curbs and retaining walls (plain and reinforced) screed and finish cement.
