Cyber Security Analyst

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be a member of Westpac’s dedicated Security Operations Team responsible for detecting and responding to all security threats and incidents. Cyber Security Analysts perform real-time log analysis providing network and data security for Westpac New Zealand. Through an in-depth understanding of exploits and vulnerabilities, Cyber Security Analysts evaluate the type and severity of security events and resolve issues following the appropriate corrective action, or escalation procedures.

• Monitor security alerts and events to detect, triage, and respond to potential threats.
• Investigate and analyse incidents, working through containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
