Prepares specimens for analysis.Establishes and implements a system for receipt, identification, and control of specimens. Selects, performs, monitors, and evaluates cytochemical procedures for assessing cellular constituents.Examines microscopically stained smears for evidence of malignancy or abnormalities, marking suspicious cells on slides for evaluation by the pathologist. Prepares reagents according to prescribed direction; maintains reagent log and control system.Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and educationCT (ASCP) Certification or obtain certification within six months of hire date Benefits
