About the opportunity

Based in Wellington, this is a great opportunity to join a growing and collaborative data capability at Transpower. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the development, maintenance, and support of data pipelines and data products that underpin analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making across the organisation.


In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform and deliver data

  • Build and support data products that meet performance, quality, security and availability requirements

  • Assemble and manage large, complex datasets from internal and external data sources

  • Support the reliable operation of analytics and reporting platforms

  • Work with approved platforms including Snowflake, Informatica, dbt and Power BI

  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring and issue resolution
