Data Platform Engineer (12-Month Fixed Term)
Our client, a large and complex public sector organization based in Wellington, is seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract (through to July 2027). You will be responsible for the overall technical support, enhancement, and maintenance of the cloud environment. You will provide technical leadership for large-scale data initiatives, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, developers, and external vendors to ensure alignment with technical governance, security, and financial processes.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Engineering Background: Significant experience as a Data, Platform, Site Reliability, or DevOps Engineer within complex cloud environments (AZURE).
- Data Platforms: Strong database or data engineering expertise in platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
