Deputy CNS- Infection Prevention and Control

Job overview

This is a full time position, accountable to the Matron for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) in the day-to-day site specific (Evelina Women’s & Children’s, St Thomas hospital, Guys Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals) operations of the Infection Prevention and Control services. The post holder will work with a multidisciplinary team and develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist IPC service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care.

To participate in education programmes for all grades of staff on aspects of infection, prevention and control, to improve compliance with best practice. The post holder will be required to operate flexibly within the IPC team structure to ensure that a comprehensive service is provided to the Trust Women’s and Children’s acute and community services and Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
