Summary The incumbent of this position serves as the Deputy Director, Office of Aviation Safety for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). As Deputy Director, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the AS Director, to provide executive-level management and oversight of the Office, which investigates, analyzes, develops, prepares detailed reports, and proposes probable cause determinations of civil aviation accidents and incidents, and makes related safety recommendations. Responsibilities As a Deputy Director, ES-0340-00, you will perform the following major duties: Provide leadership and direction to aviation accident investigators, engineers, and support staff to ensure high-quality investigations and reports.
