Overview: Selectek is seeking a skilled Steel Detailer with a robust background in 2D or 3D design, specializing in joist, girder, deck, or structural steel detailing. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team in Fort Wayne, IN, and will play a crucial role in interpreting loading diagrams, creating detailed placement plans, and generating Bills of Material.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design/Drafting/Modeling: Interpret loading diagrams (uplift, snow drift, ponding, etc.) with assistance from internal Project Managers and Engineers. Apply load requirements to steel joists and girders. Identify and apply special joist and girder profile properties (single/double pitch, bowstring/barrel, etc.). Create Joist/Girder/Deck placement plans, sections, and details reflecting the contract drawings for the Structural Engineer of Record's review/approval and for ironworkers' installation guidance.
