Diagnostic Radiologist

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Diagnostic Radiologist role is based in Whangarei and supports comprehensive imaging services for the Northland region. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting a wide range of medical imaging studies (such as X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and mammography), providing timely diagnostic reports, and offering clinical guidance to referrers. The role involves participating in multidisciplinary meetings, collaborating closely with other specialists, and contributing to patient management plans.

The Diagnostic Radiologist will help ensure high-quality, safe imaging practices, support junior medical staff and imaging technologists with clinical advice, and participate in quality improvement activities. The position may also include on-call duties and involvement in service development to meet the needs of the local community.
