Digital Project Engineer [MechPlum]

Responsibilities

1. Review drawings, specifications, instructions, and other requirements to ensure successful management of projects.


2. Review 2D plans and 3D models prepared by the Virtual Design and Construction Team to help ensure integrity of the model geometry, constructability and data based on the design documentation.


3. Coordinate with the Virtual Design and Construction team to ensure elements of design are in accordance with the plans, specifications, and client requirements.


4. Generate clash detection reports to ensure the model is free of constructability issues and clashes.


5. Provide detailed checklists and overlays of all drawings and field experienced staff to catch potentially costly errors before physical construction starts.


6. Review and perform quantity take-offs in all trades (Civil, Landscape, Structural, Architectural and MEPF) if necessary.
