WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The role is for Global Data Center engineering lead managing a high performing team of senior engineers responsible for all the networking technology running in the RBC’s global data centers including our cloud presence in Azure and AWS.We are in 32 countries with a global network spanning Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia PAC and Europe. We own, manage and operate a very large and complex interconnected network from the fiber in the ground to every technology involved in delivering a service to our clients. We also manage two complex content delivery networks, Akamai and Cloudflare that serves RBC’s 13 million banking customers.Must be familiar with AI architectural network designs, complex design architecture between applications and infrastructure, majority of the network routing protocols, complex security design principles including PAN and Checkpoint firewalls, broad cloud networking constructs...
