Position Overview

We are looking for a doctoral researcher to work on the computational study of quantum nuclear effects in solids. The project is funded by the Theory Program of the Helsinki Institute of Physics. This role involves developing an in-house program package and conducting computational work on realistic solids using supercomputer resources provided by CSC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on quantum nuclear effects on solid‑state properties.
• Develop and maintain in‑house computational software.
• Perform calculations using Quantum ESPRESSO and other codes.
• Collaborate with a young multidisciplinary research group.
• Supervise Bachelor students and participate in teaching tasks.
