VA Careers - Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist
Duties
a. Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credentialing as required. Maintains current Talent Management System (TMS) training as required. b. Accurately operates a wide variety of imaging equipment, to obtain examinations of acceptable quality using utilizing the standardized amount of specific absorption rate and/or Bl+ RMS to obtain quality imaging for diagnosis and localization purposes. This includes but is not limited to 1.5 T magnet in 3T magnet and 1.2 open vertical field magnet. c. Technologist works under supervision of the Section Supervisor and or Lead Technologist and rotates all responsibilities within the MRI section. He or she works independently on most exams but confers with radiologists and or Supervisor/ Lead Technologist on more difficult problems. Work is spot checked for achievement of objectives. d.
