Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site DWDM Engineer role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The DWDM Engineer will be responsible for planning, configuring, and maintaining DWDM transport networks to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. Daily responsibilities include provisioning new circuits, performing network integration and acceptance testing, monitoring optical network performance, and troubleshooting faults at L0/L1/L2. The role involves coordinating with internal NOC, field engineers, and vendors for incident resolution, change implementation, and capacity expansion. The DWDM Engineer will also document network designs and changes, update configuration and inventory records, participate in root‑cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability and efficiency.
