Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher


The Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) with disabilities in a classroom setting. The ECSE Teacher develops and implements individualized programs that promote developmental growth, school readiness, communication, social-emotional skills, and academic foundations. This position works collaboratively with families, related service providers to ensure students receive appropriate support and services in the least restrictive environment.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Special Education (ZS) endorsement or other appropriate Michigan special education certification.

  • Knowledge of child development and evidence-based instructional practices for young children with disabilities.
