Educational Assistant (Casual)

Job Summary

Casual Educational Assistants provide support to students with a variety of special needs including physical, developmental, and behavioural. Educational Assistants work with children with special needs in a classroom setting, either in an integrated mainstream classroom or in a contained classroom. Casual Educational Assistants work on an as needed basis.

As a casual Educational Assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply for permanent and long-term positions, when available, throughout the school year. Educational Assistants work during the school year only. There will be school shut down periods in December (winter break), March Break and during the summer months when Educational Assistants do not work and are not paid.

The hourly rate of pay for Casual Educational Assistants is $29.73.
