Job Description
Participates in and provides scientific oversight of the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment Team and the Sign Language and Interpreter Learning Resources Team. Participates in policymaking related to sign language interpreting in educational settings at the state and national level. Develops and maintains a research program with international impact.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Ensures the integrity of the educational interpreter evaluation tools by documenting validity and reliability of the written and performance tests, conducting fidelity checks on rating teams, and developing procedures and processes for further test development.
Collaborates with the EIPA Supervisor to help inform and ensure evidence-based practices for current and future generations of the written and performance-based assessments.
