Job Description
This position is responsible for: performing Electrocardiography testing (ECG,EKG), for both outpatient and inpatient settings, arranging for transtelephonic monitoring, Holter / Event Monitor placement, managing daily workflow associated with the ECG lab, completion of appropriate paperwork and follow up of test results and billing associated with specific test ordered by the physician, training of clinic and hospital staff to perform ECG’s and Cardiac Monitors, troubleshooting equipment, and system malfunctions.
Essential Functions:
Perform electrocardiograms on outpatients and inpatients.
Perform Holter and Event Monitoring as ordered by physicians both inpatient and outpatient. Obtain insurance information and obtain approval from IVR team.
Arrange for transtelephonic monitoring on patients as ordered by physicians. Placement of monitors on patients and/or delivering to parent to perform home hook up. Communicate detailed instructi...
