Electrical Engineer - HV Transmission Cable Specialist

Objective of hiring is to make sure the large electrical cables used in power transmission projects are properly designed, purchased, tested, approved, and installed without mistakes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Strong experience in HV/EHV cable systems and transmission infrastructure projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of power cables, cable accessories, routing, jointing/termination systems, and underground transmission projects.
• Ability to review cable layouts, design drawings, technical submittals, BIM/Revit models, and vendor documents.
• Good understanding of cable sizing, ampacity, insulation systems, thermal performance, and short‑circuit withstand capability.
• Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, BS standards, and utility specifications.
• Experience in technical bid evaluation, deviation analysis, tender specification preparation, vendor approvals, and technical clarification handling.
