Electrical Technician - Proto Build

Our client, a Internet Content & Information company, is looking for a Electrical Technician - Proto Build for their Sunnyvale, CA location. Responsibilities:

+ Assess condition of returned units and confirm failure mode

+ Run the unit through a prescribed set of functional tests depending on reported defect, and perform failure analysis to determine root cause

+ Strategically disassemble the unit, guided by SOPs, and perform a visual inspection of systems that might be related to the failure symptom

+ Perform component/module exchanges in an attempt to isolate the failure

+ Document the work performed on each unit in a thorough, consistent mannerPrototype Assembly:

+ Perform delicate assembly of devices, following defined SOPs

+ Electrical assembly and testing using specialized electronic equipment

+ Mechanical assembly testing using calibrated measurement tools
