Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely install, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12/STD 10 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) / NQF Level 4 is essential. Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship (completed by means of effluxion of time). Valid code 8 drivers licence (essential and be able to attend to callouts). Minimum of 3 years working experience as an Electrician is essential, of which 2 years is essential on the following: Construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of MV electrical networks including switchgear Substation maintenance MV testing equipment Conveyor maintenance and repairs Maintenance and repairs of overhead cranes A Valid Red Ticket or medical fitness in order to obtain such a certificate.
