Emergency Department Director-San Antonio area, Texas-TRO1426

-Responsible to the Chief Nursing Officer. Functions as Emergency Department Director as clinical resource person, and responsible for nursing resource utilization and responsibility for Emergency Services Operations; 10 ER beds, 15,000 annual visits and 18 FTE’s. Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the state of Texas. ADN required. BSN preferred. A minimum of three years’ acute care clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting or three years demonstrated leadership as an emergency department charge nurse. Familiar with scheduling Emergency Department assignments, staffing assignments, acuity systems, and level triage. Has developed and presented education sessions. Has performed employee evaluations and assisted with orientation of staff. Experience investigating problems and providing solutions within the framework of best practice and nursing processes.
