Emergency Management Specialist- Part time

The mission of the Lorain County Office of Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is to serve the citizens of Lorain County through effective planning for natural and man-made disasters. Our goal is to save lives and to protect property through coordination of an integrated emergency management system with all emergency response organizations, support services and volunteers.

Under general direction, a successful candidate will be responsible for planning for, responding to and recovering from both natural and man-made disasters. Coordinate interagency collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Maintain emergency operations plans and lead public preparedness training.  Assist with training and orientation of volunteer disaster personnel and attends continuing education courses as needed or deemed necessary.
