Responsibilities
The Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) Transport is responsible for the ground/air transportation of the patient and/or the Transport Team in both emergency and non-emergency situations, while ensuring the safety of the patient, team and public at large. The EMT Transport is also responsible for the maintenance of all regulatory documentation relating to ground and/or air transportation, and assures all vehicles and transport equipment are maintained in a clean and safe operating condition. The Emergency Medical Tech Transport assists other members of the health care team in the delivery of patient care. The major focus for the position is on preparation and handling of instrumentation, equipment and assisting the physician, registered nurse, and respiratory therapist during the procedure.
