JOB SUMMARY


Perform delegated activities related to patient care and overall team support in the Endoscopy Suite. Assist physicians with colonoscopies and upper endoscopies, maintain and clean equipment, and ensure highest standards of patient care and safety. Must be able to function independently and possess equipment troubleshooting skills in the procedural area, as well as following established procedure guidelines. 

MAJOR JOB FUNCTION

  • Setup an endoscopy suite and prepare endoscopic equipment for procedures.
  • Assist during endoscopic procedures, including positioning of patients.
  • Ensure all endoscopic equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions.
  • Properly clean and sterilize endoscopic instruments according to hospital protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
