Engineering Team Lead, Core Product Engine (Backend)

We are currently looking for an Engineering Team Lead, Core Product Engine (Backend) in Canada.

This role sits at the heart of a high-scale consumer platform that is transforming a traditionally fragmented industry into a seamless, automated digital experience. You will lead the backend engineering efforts powering the most critical part of the product’s transaction flow, orchestrating complex, asynchronous workflows across multiple external systems. As both a technical leader and hands‑on builder, you will guide a small, high‑performing team while actively contributing to system design and implementation. The environment is fast‑moving, highly ownership‑driven, and deeply technical, requiring strong systems thinking and a bias toward execution. You will work directly with senior leadership, including the CTO, to evolve and scale core automation systems.
