Excavator Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy excavating machinery to dig, move, and grade earth and other materials as per project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and crew to coordinate excavation tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications to execute tasks accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy machinery operation is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience operating excavators in construction or civil engineering projects.
• Valid excavator operator certification or license, with additional endorsements for specific machinery types being a plus.
• Experience in various types of excavation work, including earthmoving, grading, and trenching.
