Job Description

Open Polytechnic delivers Initial Teacher Education programmes online through a partnership school model.

We are seeking Adjuncts (contractors) in Christchurch, Nelson, West Coast, and Waikato regions to assess learner work and support the following programmes:

Applicants must have:

  • Full teacher registration with at least five years’ experience.

  • A Graduate Diploma in Teaching, Bachelor of Teaching, or higher qualification.

  • Experience in assessment and/or facilitation.

  • Cultural competency.

  • Strong knowledge of the NZ Curriculum.

  • Strong knowledge of pedagogy theories.

    • Availability in Christchurch, Nelson, West Coast, and Waikato is especially sought.


    Daytime availability is required, so this work may suit retired or part-time teachers.
