Farm Educator - Yaphank, NY

Prepare and present all programs offered in the most current Field Trips and Outreaches brochure, both on-farm and in schools, libraries, and other community settings. Assist with birthday parties and family programs. Assist with festivals and special events. Assist with day-to-day operations of Farm Education programs.

This is a part-time (20 hours per week) position.


Required Qualifications:

+ Associates Degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Education, or other related fields, or High School Diploma and 2 years volunteer or work experience.

+ One year of paid or volunteer experience working with children and the public.

+ Ability to learn how to drive van and horse trailer and truck and livestock trailer.

+ Ability to lift 10-20 pounds unassisted.

+ Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
