About the job FASHION DESIGNER CUM MERCHANDISER
Job Description
- Conceptualize, develop and create design according to Company direction.
- Research global, domestic and competitive markets to identify new trends.
- Analyze and stay up-to-date with the emerging fashion trends of shapes, colours and designs.
- Design development and fabric selection, design review and adoption, technical design and sample requisition, sampling production follow-up, sample inspection and price negotiation.
- Check quality and measurement for all new sample to ensure that they are according to the spec before production.
- Prepare documents and samples for presentations and photoshoots.
- Together with respective Merchandising Manager, develop a merchandising strategy for the department by taking into consideration of customer profile, classification, resource structure, major vendors, fashion trends, items and price.
