Female Bengali Speaking Befriender Volunteer

We are looking for a female Bengali Speaker to provide companionship for a person we support at one of our mental health services in Withington. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great way to enrich the lives of people with support needs while helping our staff to deliver person-centred services. We are looking for an outgoing, sociable and warm person, who's also a good listener. As a befriender, you will provide companionship by meeting regularly for a cup of tea and a chat. We ask that you are able to communicate confidently in Bengali in order to engage in conversations together. The person you will be providing companionship for is interested in activities like gardening, sewing and colouring as well as visiting the local market.
