About us
Reporting to the site Supervisor, the Fiber Splicer is responsible for the splicing, testing, installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables to ensure reliable telecommunications and broadband services. This role involves working with specialized equipment to fuse and terminate fiber cables, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role involves working with specialized equipment to fuse and terminate fiber cables, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Will splice, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables for residential, commercial and infrastructure projects.
- Will inspect and assess fiber optic installations, identifying and repairing faults or deficiencies.
- Will use specialized equipment such as a fusion splicing machine and optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR) to ensure proper cable functionality and alignment.
