Description
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Monitoring & MAC Installation Technician who serves as a critical link between on-site fire safety hardware and emergency response services. This role is responsible for the technical deployment of communication technologies—such as IP and cellular transmitters—that ensure fire alarm signals are reliably delivered to monitoring centers.
Beyond initial setup, this technician acts as a specialist in Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC), adapting existing life-safety systems to accommodate building renovations, tenant improvements, and evolving code requirements.
Responsibilities:
Communication Hardware Deployment: Install, wire, and configure cellular (LTE/5G) and IP-based fire alarm communicators to ensure reliable signal transmission to the Central Station.
MAC Execution (Moves, Adds, Changes): Relocate or add initiating devices (smoke/heat detectors) and notification appliances (horns/strobes) ...
