Job Description

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

Coordinate the daily activities of the Fire Technician and Fire Department Operations to ensure all emergency response equipment are maintained, ready for any emergency situation and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) is ready to respond at all times. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Emergency Preparedness & Response (EPR) related issues.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Emergency Response Team Management & Support

  • Coordinate the Emergency Response team to ensure minimum loss of life and assets.

  • Schedule Emergency Response team training, plan and execute scheduled drills, conduct critiques and work with the department to initiate improvement opportunities.

  • Manage the Emergency Response team roster and oversee skills competency of each member to ensure roster is always current.
