An exciting opportunity exists at Nampak Diversified (TOPS) for a FITTER & TURNER. This position reports to the Technician Leader
Key responsibilities include: Attending to mechanical breakdowns and stoppages Spares control and ensure effective maintenance/refurbishment on all equipment. Ensuring that equipment is at maximum availability Fault finding and identifying root causes of problems Complete audits on Ends Equipment when required Ensuring product specs and procedures are followed by operations. Grinding, turning, milling and fitting tasks Control and enhancement of all drawings and upgrades.
The ideal candidate should possess the following: Qualified artisan N3 or Matric, with a Fitter & Turner/Tool Maker trade test certificate 5 years post qualification experience in a Mechanical workshop Experience in services / utilities maintenance Good skills in mechanical fault finding Ability to work methodically without close supervision Be able to keep and maintain accur...
