French Resource Teacher - oka

Overview

Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and in collaboration with the Kanehsatà:ke Education Center. Under the direct supervision of the Ratihente High School Principal the resource teacher's job is to provide direct instructional support services to students who present learning difficulties.

Prerequisites / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education Degree with specialization in Special Education or Bachelor’s degree with teaching license (brevet) and equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education.
• Possess the ability to create a secure and nurturing learning setting that supports the unique developmental needs of children.
• Possess solid interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Kanien'keha:ka people, language, culture and history is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
