Job Description

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalistto join our experienced, collegial, and supportive Pediatric Hospitalist team. This full-time hospitalist position will provide inpatient pediatric and newborn nursery coverage at UT Health Tyler Hospital. 
About the position:
10 -24 Hour shifts per month ( 10 hours in hospital/ 14 hour call at home)
Inpatient responsibilities
Level 3 NICU with 24/7 in-house coverage and support
Identify newborns requiring a higher level of care. 
Provide routine care for healthy newborns. 
Manage common neonatal conditions, including hypoglycemia and jaundice. 
Collaborate with consulting specialists and outpatient providers. 
Teach and precept medical students and residents.
Not expected to attend deliveries
Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship preferred but not required.
