SEN Functional Skills Tutor – Barking & Dagenham (10-15 hours per week)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Functional Skills Tutor to deliver personalised learning programmes to young people in Barking & Dagenham who are currently not accessing mainstream education.
You will work on a 1:1 outreach basis, supporting learners with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning delays. Your role is to design and deliver engaging Functional Skills sessions (English and/or Maths) that rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and help pupils re-engage with education at a pace that suits them.
Many of the young people you will support may have been out of education for an extended period. Your ability to build trust, provide structure, and create a positive learning environment will be essential. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor...
